How much Webflow costs
Webflow's pricing structure is a puzzle not only for clients but often for developers themselves. In this overview I summarise the price levels and approaches that come up most often. My goal is not to describe every option Webflow offers, but to give a brief picture of the costs most Webflow clients actually deal with.
The main plan is the Site Plan, in plain terms the hosting package, which is split as follows:
Basic
$25 billed monthly
$180 billed annuallyThe entry-level and cheapest plan, which lets you connect your own domain to the site.
Suited mainly to smaller sites, portfolios or MVPs.
This plan does not include the content management system.
The plan covers 10GB of monthly bandwidth.Premium
$39 billed monthly
$300 billed annually99% of Webflow websites run on this plan. In practice it is the best value for money.
Suited to company websites, structured sites, blogs and more.
This plan includes the content management system with a limit of 20 separate collections and a maximum of 2,000 items.
The plan covers 50GB of monthly bandwidth. Both plans above include full access for the account owner, full access for Webflow developers who have a paid Freelancer Workspace or Agency Workspace account, and access for 3 users with permission to edit page content.
Other frequently used add-ons that extend what a Webflow website can do:
Localization
Essential: $9 / month / language
Advanced: $29 / month / languageIf you plan to translate your site into other languages, you will not avoid the add-on called Webflow Localization. It is charged per translated language and its price depends on the technical requirements you have for the translations:
- Essential: sufficient for most projects, allowing bulk AI translations, SEO translations and minor design adjustments within individual language versions. This option covers up to 3 language translations; for more languages the Advanced plan below is required.
- Advanced: the highest and also the most expensive plan for translations. It does everything Essential does, and on top of that lets you translate the URLs themselves, redirect visitors to their language automatically based on IP address, and covers up to 10 language translations.
Seats
Limited: $15 / month / seat
Full: $39 / month / seatOn larger projects, where the user access included in the Site Plan is not enough, additional seats have to be bought for further users. They are split as follows:
- Limited: access that lets the user edit content on the page and work with components, but gives no access to the code itself.
- Full: full access, allowing the user to make any edit and to reach the code and the project settings.
It is worth stressing that in the vast majority of cases clients do not buy additional seats, though situations do arise where a project needs more access than the Site Plan covers, as described above.
